GREEN BAY — Wisconsin Public Service Corp. has completed an agreement to purchase Crane Creek Wind Farm in Howard County, Iowa.
The 99-megawatt wind farm will be built by enXco, a California-based company, and turned over to WPS.
The agreement allows construction to begin. The 66 wind turbines will be operated by enXco Service Corp. for WPS.
The site is expected to be in operation in late December 2009. Wisconsin Public Service Corp., Green Bay, is a subsidiary of Integrys Energy Group of Chicago, and serves 420,000 customers across northern and central Wisconsin.
